Marriott – Evaluating the market for a hotel you want to acquire

Teresa Chao is a Senior Director in Asset Management, Feasibility & Analysis - Americas for Marriott International based in Bethesda, Maryland. She provides feasibility, financial, and market analyses for existing and proposed select-service and full-service products in the United States and Canada for all Marriott International brands. Ms. Chao also supports the Asset Management group with negotiating contract extensions and resolutions to other business matters identified at existing Marriott International hotels. Prior to joining Marriott International, Ms. Chao was a consultant with Deloitte in the Real Estate and Hospitality, and the Financial Advisory Services groups in Atlanta, Georgia. Services provided at Deloitte include feasibility studies, real estate valuations, purchase price allocations, intangible asset valuations, business equity valuations, and site selection. In addition, Ms. Chao was a financial analyst in the Asset Management group at Lodgian, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, where she provided analysis on a portfolio of 106 hotel properties. Ms. Chao has a B.S. from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration.
